Freemasonry is

A long established, worldwide organisation of men who prize good
character
Focused on tolerance, friendship and good neighbourliness
A non-profit organisation strongly supportive of charity and community
service
Comprised of men from all walks of life who share high ideals and
values

Freemasonry is not

A religion - Freemasons are expected to follow their own faith and the
discussion of religion is not permitted within lodges

A political forum - Freemasons meet in harmony and politics may not
be discussed within lodges

A secret society although, like many other groups, it regards internal
matters as private
